Ringing in 2012
by haley sherif
I’m exhausted running on about five hours of sleep. I had no fancy plans for last night and had all the intention of celebrating the new year in bed catching up on old episodes of the Real Housewives. My plans changed a little bit and I am so glad that they did. I had an absolute blast with old and new friends ringing in 2012 together. There was lots of laughter, cute outfits, and even some cheese, (I love a cheese platter). However, whether you celebrated at home or in Times Square I hope you had a fantastic time. I think this new year will be full of lots of love, new opportunities, health, and happiness. I feel it. In case you were wondering what I threw together last minute here’s what: a black metallic dress from Olive and Bettes, sheer tights, and grey heeled booties. I kept the makeup minimal, hair down, and fashioned the bold gold Chanel hue on my nails. Even though I didn’t end up home until way past my bedtime it was worth it!
I spent the morning catching up with a friend at Le Pain. Due to lack of sleep and the fact that more than half my wardrobe is in the wash I just decided to keep it paired down and simple in American Apparel leggings, an Emerson tee, a vest, and Vince jacket. The weather is gorgeous and I think, after I finish my soy latter, I’ll spend the afternoon taking a walk. I could do with some fresh air and exercises.
How was everyone’s new years eve? xo
