one outfit from day to night
by haley sherif
It was another gorgeous day in New York yesterday. I had a very busy day and wanted to be comfortable especially because I spent the majority of the day at my desk. Between a phone conversation with the superlux Samantha Yanks, an interview, that will be revealed later next week, and one meeting in the later afternoon, I barely had a second to myself, so I couldn’t be too fussy about the day’s look.
ZOE KARSSEN TANK
JOIE SKIRT (SIMILAR)
I decided to go with a more casual maxi skirt, mine’s from Joie, made from cotton, not silk like the pink one I often write about, a Zoe Karssen tank that I adore and that’s a hit with friends, and black sandals. I accessorized with staple Oliver Peoples and an oversized tote that held all I needed for the afternoon. I also had to dress in a versatile enough outfit that I could wear to dinner with a girlfriend in the village.

STUART WEITZMAN ESPADRILLE
YSL CLUTCH
What I love about fashion is how easy it is to add an accessory, a different shoe, and some mascara and you’ve transformed what was a easy breezy day look into a comfortable, but with an added sheen evening look. Those are the best kinds of clothes I think, pieces that can be worn a multitude of different ways and can be dressed up or down to suit the occasion. I always keep that in mind. I have lots of exciting things on the horizon to share and a big deadline tomorrow so it’s time to get going, xo.
