Yesterday the weather finally relented a bit. It wasn’t too hot or too humid and the rain was sparse which was a welcomed relief. I had a very busy afternoon after which I ran home to change for dinner at a friend’s house for a mother and daughter dinner. I new it wouldn’t be too dressy, but when all of us girls get together, we like to dress our best, so I didn’t want to dress too casually either.

When it comes to easy breezy beat the heat dressing I beat crisis mode by throwing on J.Brand skinnies and a cute blouse. I decided to give white a bit of a breather and went with coral skinnies and a white top with flower lace detail. Instead of wearing the outfit with black sandals or heels I gave me feet a breather too and instead went with the ever fashionable and comfortable rose gold metallic Jack Roger sandals.

Their one summer solution I recommend to all! I accessorized the outfit with two Hermes bangles, one thin black vintage with a hook design and the other a thicker classic, an orange “H” bracelet. The evening was so much fun, with delicious food and lots of laughs, just like a summer night should be, xo.
