charmed

I was once of the belief that charms were just meant to dangle from bracelets, but with the introduction of Jennifer Fisher’s collection I’m now of the full belief that charms, are not just meant to dangle from chains around one’s neck, but are actually the chicest way to be worn.

To say I’m slightly obsessed with Fisher’s line is an understatement, I wear her necklace all the time and always received the nicest compliments. I went the simple route picking two charms that I love, a hamsa and a wishbone both in gold.

Both charms, I feel, add a bit of luck when worn. I love them matched with a small gold elephant I wear everyday too. The options are endless, there is really a charm for everyone. With a birthday on the horizon, I definitely can’t wait to add another gorgeous charm to the chain, xo.

(All the above from Elle)

I definitely have jewels on the mind. While I did a post yesterday about a beautiful teal bauble, I’m seriously considering investing in a statement cocktail ring. They’re so cool and the perfect way to accessorize an outfit. Whether going to a lunch with friends or attending a dinner party wearing a major cocktail ring like one of these will definitely have the spotlight on you. I love that with such a simple touch as adding a ring my outfit can instantly be stylishly updated. Ever since I was little I would stand in my mom’s closet playing with her jewels, putting on a huge eclectic ring reminds me of dressing up as a little girl. There’s nothing better than adding a little whimsical attitude to your style especially when it’s done in such a chic way.

The above rings that Elle selected may break the bank, so here are some cheaper just as major options. You can truly have your cake and eat it too.

funky baubles all the rave

Since I’m working with a theme of statement jewels today. I’m loving a big gem as a second statement piece. There are lots of stylish baubles out there. This one from Dannijo is so major. The teal is a beautiful color that would easily compliment a winter wardrobe. Ice princess met modern day New Yorker!

a call to cuffs

I’m loving a statement cuff right now. I’ve seen them everywhere, from the runway to the office, this is a trend that’s having a major moment right now. My suggestion is to get in on the trend, style a chic gold cuff and be the envy of every girl. It’s unexpected to wear an eclectic cuff, but it’s a perfect way to make a toned down outfit shine. It’s a great way to accessorize whether having lunch with friends or attending an event. I love these gold ones because they really imbue a sort of Persian chic. When it comes to cuffs, stack theme up and mix and match, this is a trend where less is never more.

in stackable news

I have a thing for rings, but I just don’t wear them enough. Recently I was running out to attend the ballet and a threw on a set of three stackable, (gold, silver, and rose gold) rings I purchased in Rome years ago. On top of those I stacked three gold rings, one with a diamond, one with a ruby, and one with a brown stone. I love this look. Though the rings aren’t “meant” to be worn together it makes the look chicer. I like how the zig zag shape of the bottom three rings compliment the three more circular gold rings. I get compliments on them all the time, but why I love them so much is that each ring means something to me. Don’t feel obligated to wear six rings at a time, but just tossing on three bands makes for a statement without the stress.

I love the look of these Tiffany rings stacked. What I beautiful look!

I say never worry about mixing colors and textures, that’s what fashion is all about! Sticking with the norm is boring, switch it up and make a statement instead!

face time

Telling time may be a thing of the past, but watches stand the test of time, (literally!). I love a good looking watch. In fact, I always find myself looking if someone has a watch on. Watched have become more of an added accessory than anything else. While their use has been minimized by the influx of accessible digital time, watches are still an intricate part of our wardrobes. I think that picking out a watch that can be worn on numerous occasions, dressed up or down, is important.

Like the perfect pair of jeans, a watch needs to fit just so. I have a gold, rather large faced watch from Jennifer Miller I received from my mom. I love both the size and character of the watch and it’s a classic addition to my collection that I’ll have forever. So, invest wisely when choosing your watch of choice, remember there are numerous options and never settle for less than what is ideal for you!

Jennifer Miller’s Gems

I love jewelry. Sufficient to say my collection continues to grow monthly. While I love vintage jewels, (I’ve “borrowed” some major Chanel necklaces from mom), a bold earring I can never go without. That’s why I absolutely adore Jennifer Miller. There’s something so sexy about a toned down outfit, but a pop of color on the ear. Early in June I visited Jennifer Miller in Southampton and picked out some fantastic, casual Summer necklaces and earrings. I got a pair of stunning teardrop earrings, that I adore, and while browsing Miller’s site I realized so does everyone else! In fact, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills love them too! I have yellow gold plating over a silver white opal, (the pair below), but the palate of colors to choose from is bananas!

Now that the seasons are a changing, I’m defiantly ready for a visit to the Lexington Avenue location I can’t wait to check out a red of a grey for fall, they would be a great addition to my collection.
