black or white blazer

(Cameron loves her cool black blazer with leather trim!)

Today I’ve been thinking about investing in a great blazer for the summer. Last summer it was all about the white blazer – with jeans, shift dresses, and even to dress up a cute short. Taking a cue from last season I think it’s imperative to make a new addition to my wardrobe, but the problem comes when I consider the black blazer.

On the one hand I do love some white, but I do live in New York and while black matches at least more than half of my wardrobe I won’t be taking it to the dry cleaners nearly as much as I would be with a white blazer. I found two cute ones, both at Intermix, one black and the other white. I’m weighing the pros and cons, but I definitely could use some weigh in from my fabulous fashion dish readers on this particular fashion conundrum. I’d love to hear what you all think and which piece you’ll be adding to your wardrobe this season

Here’s to the blazer debate, xo

Fashion Night Out

If you live in New York the place to be last night was, well anywhere actually! The city street turned into one big fashion party as we celebrated the third annual Fashion Night Out. FNO is a kickoff to New York Fashion Week, (which began today!), and is one of the most eventful celebrations of the year. With parties in almost every store and boutique around the city, it’s no wonder New Yorker’s are known for their style. Everybody dress up and brought their all, no matter the periodic sprinkles or the insane traffic everyone ran about the city in to die for outfits. Though I was insanely tired from the night before when I attended Lucky Magazine’s Fashion Bloggers Conference I couldn’t wait to participate.

Loving my grey toes, red pants, and purple shoes!! Never too much color.

I decided to sport my new B Brian Atwood purple pumps with red JBrands and a black, metallic sweater making for a va va voom color scheme. Running between cobblestones and mobs of people I made my way to SoHo’s JCrew store where I checked out Lulu Frost for JCrew jewels. Afterwards I wandered into Marc Jacobs and was surprised to spot Dakota Fanning. Though unfortunately Rachel Zoe left Intermix before I could get there, I did look through the windows at both DVF and Alex McQueen seeing some seriously awesome parties.

Next week I’ll attend several shows and I can’t wait to fill you all in then! Have a fashionable Friday!
