All I can say this Friday, is thank goodness for the week! This weeks been a doozy and I can’t wait to spend the weekend in the Hamptons surrounded by friends and family celebrating my birthday. Fall’s just around the corner, so this weekend’s finds are seasonal items that have already made it onto my radar if not already into my closet, xo.

It scares me to be writing on fall footwear since it seems degrees away, but in only a month we’ll be back in the hustle and bustle, with Fashion Week straight ahead, and all our other September obligations.
I’m a huge fan of fall footwear, give me a boot and I’m good to go, but alas it isn’t appropriate to wear boots on some occasions, so without further ado, meet some chic seasonal footwear from Manolo Blahnik. I love the suede, but the colorblocking is what grabs the attention. Perfect to wear around the office and so luxe to wear out these heels are the ultimate alternative to boots, xo.
When it comes to how I dress for the office the fact of the matter is, I often sport a little color and a whole lotta black! I can’t help it, it’s comfortable, versatile, and allows for a chic office look. The temps have warmed once more in New York, but while it’s hot and humid outside the DFR offices are often quite cold.
I often opt for a maxi dress or skirt, a blouse, and sandals, but instead I selected a more corporate look when I combined slim black Theory pants, a white sleeveless Equipment blouse, and black Manolos. I love the classic look of black and white, but of course with a chic twist! Sometimes it is all black and white, xo.
It was a very wet and rainy day on Monday, but that never halts the social calendar in New York, it only makes things crazier! I was invited to attend Jennifer Gilbert’s book party for her first book, “I Never Promised You a Goodie Bag.” Coincidently, President Obama was having dinner on Park Avenue on my block, so between the rain, blocked off streets, and police getting downtown was no easy accomplishment.

I decided to wear a short dress with oversized red and pink flowers on it, an oldie from Roberta Freymann, to add a little sunshine to the rain filled day. I wanted the dress to speak for itself, so I complimented it with subtle black leather Manolos and a black YSL clutch.

The party was fabulous from the moment I walked in. To the carefully selected drink selection, to the casual sitting areas on the closed terrace, to a fun billboard across the street with Jen and her book, it was a fun celebratory night to remember.
It was also nice to see a bevy of guests, I later learned over 500 friends and acquaintances had come to support Jen including several of the Real Housewives. Jill Zarin was there with her husband Bobby and later on that evening Kelly Bensimon came to show her support.
Monday night proved that nothing stops someone as hardworking as Jen to celebrate her new success with all her friends and family. Jen’s book, I Never Promised You a Goodie Bag, is out now!

I arrived early last night in the Hamptons and I couldn’t wait! The Hamptons hold very special childhood memories for me. I distinctly remember dinners at The Palm in East Hampton, getting ice cream at the Candy Kitchen, and taking long car trips to eat mussels in Montauk. I couldn’t wait for the weekend to start and so far it’s gone off without a hitch. When we arrived I quickly changed out of my more comfortable Jitney clothes into the evening’s outfit which I had carefully planned out the night before.
I choose to wear my favorite pink maxi skirt from New York store Ludivine, with a blue and white striped Vince tee. Since we went to Nick & Toni’s for dinner I wanted to dress up the tee a little bit, so I decided to layer the look with a white Theory blazer and added tan suede Manolos for a luxe touch.

The dressed up stripes made for the perfect Hampton’s chic look. I indulged in delicious fried zucchini chips (a childhood favorite), some Italian cheese, and the best scallops I’ve ever had followed by a tasty tiramisu. Today is all about enjoying the beautiful sunny day, starting with a run, breakfast outdoors, than some shopping of course, and another fun dinner later on. The weekend is off to a fantastic start, xo.
I couldn’t wait for the weekend to start. Now that it has I’m full force taking free time and relaxing to a new level. I decided to set the weekend with an early morning Soul Cycle class and a fresh blowout from Valery Joseph. Though I wanted lots of downtime this weekend, nothing is more relaxing the dedicating a morning to makeup. I hit Barney’s counters for some new NARS eyeshadows and some other must haves I’ll share this week.
I knew I would be out, but not until later, so I decided to take a walk, running small errands, doing some window shopping, and stopping for some coffee. I’ve been lusting over the orange Manolo’s so I went to purchase a pair to add to the summer shoe collection. No day would be complete without some one on one time with a close girlfriend, so tonight’s girls night out.
I purchased a fun pair of coral J.Brand’s last weekend, but I can’t decide wether to wear those with a tank, sweater, and sandals, or instead dress up a bit with a white jean and blazer look. Whatever I decide I know it’ll be a delicious dinner with fun conversation, xo.
It’s time for the weekend and that means another edition of weekend finds. It’s been another insane week, so this weekend is what the doctor ordered. I cannot wait to rest, have dinner with some close friends, and take a break from it all, xo.

I’m obsessed with color for spring and summer and orange makes the top of the list this month. It’s the perfect shade that welcomes May with a burst of citrus. Orange is a hot color this season found everywhere from shoes, like the Manolo Blahnik’s that scream neon fun, to cool bracelets from Jennifer Miller. Hopefully with last weeks April showers, there will be a ton of May flowers, but if we have to create a little color on our own at first, we know where to find it, xo.

I’m all for a pop of color these days especially on the feet. It’s the perfect compromise to my otherwise muted wardrobe. When I first saw this Manolo Blahnik neon heels all I could think over and over was “pop of color, pop of color, pop of color.” The shoes practically scream for every New Yorker to stop and stare down, their in short the perfect attention grabbing, conversation piece, and summer shoe. It’s an all in one deal that I love.
BB PATENT POINT-TOE PUMP
I couldn’t help, but pop (no pun intended) into the Manolo Blahnik store on Madison Avenue this afternoon with mom after a delicious lunch. I tried them on and well as they say, the rest is history. I couldn’t believe that I fell for the blue, below, so hard especially because I had the pink in mind, but their the fun heel I’ve coveted for some time now.
I also picked up a tannish suede pump that’s the ideal every day shoe for work, play, and in between, it’s also unbelievably comfortable. I plan on wearing them to an event on Monday, but for now I’m off to brunch with friends, dressed casual, with sandals and hair in a loose bun, xo.
